Capturing Broughton

I took a series of photos for a competition organised by the Broughton Hall estate where I am lucky enough to be based. My theme was ‘Live, Work, Play’, which is a tag line that has been used for a while by the estate itself.

I was delighted to win the competition and it also made the Craven Herald, probably as their resident photographer Stephen Garnett was a judge (note that was not my camera in the picture)!

Here are the photos I entered into the competition, and you will find a lot more at my sister site www.BroughtonHall.photography.

Live

These include anything to do with life on the estate the Hall, the people and the “wildlife” that can be found in the grounds.

Work

Although the obvious subject for this are the companies that make the business park their home, I have instead chosen to highlight both the business park itself, and the people who help make it work.

Play

There are so many events throughout the year that there are plenty of opportunities for photos of people having fun on the estate, from the “Race for Life” in May to the Fireworks in November.
