I’d see this heron a lot when I’ve been walking along the beck in our village but it would always fly away before I saw it. So early on Sunday morning I decided to go and see if it was around, and went in quiet stealth mode (which means I didn’t have Jane with me!) and although it flew away once I did manage to grab this one before it went off again. Oh for a 500mm lens!
