So many times when you see something and wish you had a camera. Well, today I did have it. I went for a trip into the Yorkshire Dales and whilst I didn’t see anything, I called by my office to pick something up and it being Sunday, it was very quiet. Just by the beck I saw this chap, a young Heron.

He was just about 50 feet away from me, and I got a few quick shots before he saw me enough to fly off. What a shame about the twig in front of him, but you can’t have everything. It was quite a magical moment.
